A few useful answers. A real way to reach us.
The essentials.
What devices can use FilmVibes?
FilmVibes is designed for iPhone and iPad running iOS / iPadOS 17 or later. Available lenses, depth effects, formats, and capture resolutions depend on your device. The app is currently in testing.
Why does the megapixel number change?
The number describes the available capture output for your camera and framing. A tighter focal-length frame uses less of the image area, so a high-resolution sensor does not mean every final photo is 48MP. Camera capabilities also vary.
Is RAW the same as my finished monochrome photo?
No. A RAW / DNG file retains source image data; it is not the finished FilmVibes rendering. Use the processed photo for the preset, contrast, and grain treatment you see in the app.
Where do my pictures go?
Your captures are stored in the app’s local library. Saving or exporting to Apple Photos requires permission. Keep a separate backup of pictures you care about; deleting the app may remove its local library.
How do I use a companion monitor?
Choose camera or monitor using the wireless-link control. Keep the devices nearby and allow local-network access. If the connection drops, check the selected roles and reconnect. Both devices need FilmVibes.
How can I join TestFlight?
Request access here. We’ll use your email to respond about beta access. A request is not an automatic invitation; availability may be limited.
